What is your company’s elevator pitch?
Yings Kitchen provides high-quality, healthy Asian cooking sauces lower in sodium, no added MSG and no high fructose corn syrup.
Who are your clients and give an example of how you served that person or business?
Our clients are businesses like grocery stores or restaurants as well as individuals who cook Asian food or love to make Asian meals. In addition to providing good Asian sauces, we also want to make sure that you know how to use them.
Because of my background as an Asian cooking instructor, we provide lots of recipes and instructional videos on my website, facebook and youtube. So make sure to check them out.
What is your most successful sales strategy?
My passion and unstoppable attitude bring sales. I say:
- Hard work+ hard work+ Hard work=results.
- Persistent but friendly and nice.
- You are the one who has to make it happen so work hard everyday!
Who are your Mentors and how they have helped you in your business?
Phil Hartung and Norm Letofsky are my primary mentors. I also had help from other SCORE mentors like Joel Shabsin on accounting. Phil and Norm are always there when I need them. I can go to them with anything for their professional help. Even sometimes they don’t have the answers, they serve as my sound board which is also very important to me.
What advice would you give other entrepreneurs?
My advice to fellow entrepreneurs is:
- Set Goals
- Make plans to meet the goals
- Check your progress on a regular basis
- Have a mentor
- Read books and attend business seminars that related to your business
