I have 35+ years of diversified management experience in the marketing research industry, including roles directing client service, product management, and operations functions.  Over the course of my career I've been responsible for preparing business plans and managing P&Ls, for both large and small enterprises, in the U.S. and internationally.  Most of my work has been in the consumer packaged goods and information services fields, though I have had exposure across a number of business-to-business and direct-to-consumer industries. 

I joined a small start-up called Information Resources in 1981 and, over the following 18 years, participated in its launch as a public-traded company and growth into the world's third-largest marketing research firm with annual revenues of $550 million.  During that time, I had the opportunity to manage numerous cross-departmental teams involved in both production and delivery of services and to oversee operations in more than a dozen countries. I subsequently served as President & COO of NFO WorldGroup, another leading multinational market research firm.  Most recently, I managed several business units and the corporate product management function at The NPD Group, a privately-held research company tracking retail sales and consumer purchase behavior across dozens of industries in 20+ countries.

Along the way, my experience has taught me some lessons about building successful business plans, ways to promote cross-departmental teamwork and efficiency, and the forging of corporate alliances/joint ventures.
