Meet Ariane and Michael Fisher, owners of Storymix Media and Featured Business Owners at SCORE Chicago this week. Learn how they started and what tips they have for your success.
What is your company’s elevator pitch?
Crowdsource photos and videos from anyone and automatically turn the best moments into a custom edited video.
Check out our newest product VideoStitch – unlimited custom video creation. Easy. Instant. Free.
What inspired you to start your business?
99% of the videos taken are never seen because videos need editing, which is really hard. We took inspiration from prior careers as engineers at Ford to automate the process and make it possible for anyone or any business to create professional quality video at prices affordable for any budget.
Who are your clients, and give an example of how you served that person or business.
Wedding couples, marketing firms, ad agencies, SMBs. One client has used our technology platform to reduce the price of videos that they sell to clients from $2000 to $500 and increase sales 5x.
Here’s an example of a crowdsourced video created from clips at an event in Chicago.
What’s your biggest business challenge?
Bringing in the resources (developers, sales team, marketing) to increase brand awareness.
Who is your mentor name and how they have helped you in your business?
Peg Corwin has helped us with data mining, marketing analysis, strategy, and user experience to name just a few.
What advice would you give other entrepreneurs?
Get out of the building and talk to potential customers.
