Meet Michael Buss, owner of the North Shore Brewing Supply and Featured Business Owner at SCORE Chicago this week. Learn how his business works and what tips he has for your success.
What is your company’s elevator pitch?
Free Beer! We can’t sell it, but we offer samples, teach you how to make it, and get you everything you need to make your own!
Who are your clients, and give an example of how you served that person or business?
We serve every level of enthusiast from the merely curious to the professional. Some of the most fun we have is hosting people’s private parties whether it be a birthday or corporate team building event, everyone leaves happy!
What is your biggest business challenge?
Overcoming a challenging location with no foot traffic.
Who is your Mentor and how they have helped you in your business?
David Kirshner has been very helpful in early phases of planning my business and was a sounding board to bounce ideas off of at any time.
What advice would you give other entrepreneurs?
Get more money than you think you need and be prepared for things to take off more slowly than you anticipate. Use SCORE and any of the various tools they offer.
What is your website for further info?
Our business mentors can help you, too!
